ND   opens   for....

Early shows were often "All Ages" affairs, and ND found themselves on playbills with the likes of Fishbone, Urban Dance Squad, and Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers. One notable gig was November 26,1988, when ND opened for the Red Hot Chili Peppers in the Multipurpose Room at Cal State, Long Beach, Indeed, Flea reportedly helped the band record their first demo.

Adrian   joins   his   favorite   band

In 1989 Adrian Young, a regular member of the group's mosh pit for sometime, actually joined his favorite band, allegedly playing drums for the very first time when he auditioned. Incredibly enough, the novice drummer has remained with the band ever since and is now known for his precision-pop style of playing.

Eric   leaves   the   band

No Doubt underwent a dramatic change after the recording of Tragic Kingdom when Eric officially left the band to pursue a full time carrer as an animator for the television show "The Simpsons." He is still put down as a member of the band inside the cover of Tragic Kingdom.

Tragic   Kingdom   is   saved

Tragic Kingdom was saved from dying a lonely death on a dusty industry shelf largely due to the euthusiasm of Paul Palmer who was called in to mix the album. Palmer, fresh from mixing an album entitled Sixteen Stone for another due-to-be-huge band called Bush, co-owned (with Rob Kahane) a boutique label under the wing of Interscope Records called Trauma.

I strongly suggest if you are a big No Doubt fan to go buy "The Story of No Doubt" by Kalen Rogers. Sorry I couldn't put more in here, but I am very busy with this page and other things. Thanks.
